Gatefold LP (black). "Suicide in Dark Serenity" started out as an EP that first saw the dark of night in 2003. It is regarded by many critics and followers of Xasthur alike as a true highlight and seminal milestone of the US black metal scene. This edition adds a rehearsal version of the track 'Nocturnal Poisoning' to the original list of songs. Xasthur were originally conceived by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Scott Conner in California, USA in the year 1995. The project started out in the vein of bleak black metal in the tradition of the Nordic second wave.
