Song Overview
Regarding the stories and themes of the songs: Sure, there are a few songs about vampirism. But this album also deals with other themes like the devil, the fear of death, and possession. So I'll focus on the highlights. The title track, "The Devil's Masquerade," is about the movie "Annabel" and not about the devil. "Stygian Miracles" is all about vampires, but is based on the Netflix series "Midnight Mass." "The Staff of Truth" is about the Twilight episode in which a homeless man frees the devil from his imprisonment. "Seek Out Your Sins" is about the movie "The Exorcist," but in our story, the devil wins. The highlight, however, is "I am the Way," inspired by Dio's "We're Stars." That's why I gathered the best and most well-known Texan metal singers for this song. It's about a legion of vampires and the devil who have had enough of what humanity has done to this world, and it's time for us to take over!
